2011 圣诞晚会：“耶稣，现代人的希望！”

感谢神今年的圣诞晚会已顺利完成。参加了过去11年OMAC的圣诞晚会，this is one of the BEST!  为了我们的主耶稣庆祝圣诞，好多弟兄姐妹过去两个月每周崇拜后都留下来排演话剧，也有其他小组的兄弟姐妹每周为留下来演戏的肢体做饭。

话剧是这样开始的：

三個家庭在聖誕節前夕，因為突然的一場大暴雪， 面臨人生真正的風暴和危機。但在處處危機中，新的轉機也巧然開始…

情侣因刚从国内来，父母家中有金，生活靡滥，喝酒，party， 注重物质享受，生活没有目的。

甲家父亲是博士畢業後，作了博士後好幾年，好不容易才找到Ottawa U大學，從助理教授幹起。 為了生等壓力，常常心情不佳，脾气爆燥。青少年面临反叛期，準備上大學，但不好好讀書，又交上不良朋友，常與家人衝突；母亲因为家中情况，到处求神拜佛。

乙家父母亲都在高科技工作，  历力都很大，常吵架，互不相禳。家中小孩交由祖父母来照顾，出现二代问题。

 

在面臨冰風暴和家庭危機中，新的轉機巧然到來。涵珺，高玲和祖父母以及彭彩分別到教會，聆聽牧師介紹耶穌及其救恩信息。戏中有戏，演员都坐在观众当中听牧师讲道。

他們聽完後，決定接受主，悔改，重新開始，並且饒恕傷害他們的人，為他們禱告。

Lunch for Christmas Preparation Team and Baptismal Class

As we are gearing toward the Christmas, we have about 30 brothers and sisters stay back after service for Christmas Drama Practice and the Baptismal Class each Sunday. To show our love and support to these brothers and sisters, we have organized our cell groups to prepare lunch for them.

1. Pray for our Christmas preparation. Pray that we are able to bring out the message we will like to deliver. This year's main theme is "耶稣，现代人的希望！"

家庭步行日活动

上主日 (8月21日) 崇拜后在Gatineau 公园内的Pink Lake为教会建堂筹款举办的家庭步行日活动, 共有31位成人及19名青少年及兒童參加, 为建堂事工筹得$582, 感谢大家对建堂事工的支持。

《中国老年人大家乐》活动纪实

2010年11月20日上午10；00 ，渥太华国语宣道会《迦勒团契》的弟兄姐妹与445 Richmond Road 老年公寓的老年朋友们一起举办了一次《中国老年人大家乐》活动。共有33位老年朋友参加。
这次聚会的主题是：结识朋友，互通信息。会议开始后，大家在钢琴伴奏下唱起了〈最美还是夕阳红〉，〈唱出一个春天来〉和〈野地的花〉等老年人喜爱的优美的歌曲。随后，几个爱唱歌的姐妹们自动唱起了〈洪湖水浪打浪〉〈在那遥远的地方〉等自己喜爱的传统歌曲 。
接着，大家玩了一个‘分组游戏’，每5人为一组作自我介绍，互相认识，结识朋友，许多多年不见的老朋友，老校友在这儿会面，显得分外激动，他们互相交谈，甚至忘记了吃饭。有的还邀请老朋友到自己家里做客。
第三个节目是：大家一起作《老年手穴保健操》，每个人都像小孩子一样认真地学，认真地做，都希望能够健康长寿。
最后大家分享了自己亲手制作的美食。饭后，许多老年人留下来打乒乓，玩扑克，下象棋，久久不愿离开。
这次聚会，大家玩得很开心，有了好的开端。今后，我们计划在这个老年公寓里（有25户中国人）多组织一些适合老年人的活动，给这里的老年人送去欢乐，送去服务，送去福音。

也許有的弟兄姊妹已上過李立姊妹上一季的課, 有了非常正確的理念, 但是本季著重在日常操練, 更進一步地帶你實際運用, 並檢討果效.

已有孩子的爸爸媽媽, 歡迎參加; 還沒有的, 更應該參加, 因為預防重於治療啊!

如何教養孩子品德 (Let the Children Come along the Virtuous Way)

課程簡介: 本课程使用儿童教育家Gary Ezzo 和妻子Anne Marie Ezzo 所著的【如何教养孩子品德】 的课本和DVD资料，是关于如何教养孩子的一门基础课程。将通过研习课程材料，问题讨论和分享，帮助父母们以耶稣基督的品格所流露出的美德及价值观来建造孩子的心。这样的孩子应当是恩慈，有信心，对人的需要敏锐，谦卑，对父母顺服，令人尊敬，以生命为信仰作美好的见证。教养孩子不仅仅是为了建立孩子，更是同时为了修整，更新父母的生命，让父母在主里成长。本课程不仅专为帮助建造孩子的品格，也更为改变为人父母们的生命，使之成为完全，满有基督的样式。

Sharing from Pastor Chen

Dear All,

I would like to thank all the brothers & sisters who gave your time, money & dedication to prepare for our new students' welcome event last Saturday & church building fundraising event last night. We had about 25 new students/guests attending our orientation event & lunch (appreciate meal preparation from our Gatineau group), & about 150 participants (around 60% are guests not attending OMAC). Once again we have experienced God's grace together! Ming-I & I feel very blessed to serve at our home church with all of you & with the guidance from our Lord.

During the fundraising dinner last night, I read a letter sent by one of our ex-members, who currently lives in the US. She supports our building project wholeheartly -- she mentioned in her letter that she could only sends us $1,000 offering this time, because she is unemployed now. She will continue to support OMAC with prayer & offering once she finds a job. I am very touched by the love demonstrated by our brothers & sisters, whether they are current OMAC members or ex-members who are in other local churches, other cities or countries.

Please continue to pray for our student ministry, especially for our co-workers ZHU Dong, Echo & Jonathan. Pray that more OMAC brothers & sisters are willing to support campus ministry, and also that more student leaders will rise to lead this ministry together with our co-workers.

During last night's dinner we showed the audience our building project progress & 3D new church building presentation (by our architect). 国语联合布道会 “迎向光明”

国语联合布道会 “迎向光明” 将于9月17 ~ 19日(周五至日) 晚上7点半在渥太华华人宣道会 (22 Eccles St. Ottawa) 举行。三场主题分别为: 破茧而出，回家的路，及喜见光明。另外, 周六下午3:30 ~ 5:30有专题讲座: 如何去除传福音的障碍。讲员: 张路加牧师 (现任 “播种者” 国际宣教协会华人事工部主任)。免费入场, 备有儿童看顾，会后有茶点招待，请弟兄姐妹邀请未信主的朋友参加 (周六下午的讲座没有儿童看顾及茶点招待)。

“大提琴的独白”生命见证音乐布道会

一个再平常不过的日子，带来了一个绝不寻常的信息。

周二晚上，我有幸参加了贵湖浸信会举办的一场大提琴，钢琴演奏会——“大提琴的独白”生命见证音乐布道会。

不知咋地，对大提琴知之甚少的我，一坐下就有莫名的感动。还没听讲员开口，只是大提琴一被拉响，我的眼眶就湿润了。我心里还在纳闷：“这是怎么回事 儿呢？难道有人为我祷告么？”而等到讲员林照程弟兄分享他们一家的信主过程——他们如何带着大女儿先天极重度生理延迟，二女儿先天重度生理延迟的苦恼来寻 求神，之后信主，靠主走出了“死荫幽谷”；越过经济危机；靠主的信心建立‘天使心’基金会为神作见证；最后有凭主的信心得到两个健康的女儿。我完全被他们 对神的信心所感动。最后一首“这一生最美的祝福”响起的时候，我“坚挺着”的心终于还是柔软下来，眼泪“不听话”地流了出来。

是呀，听了他们的分享，感觉自己平时所愁苦的事情简直有些“庸人自扰”或是说“小巫见大巫”。但是再想想耶稣为我们的缘故，全然担当了不属于他的苦 杯。是的父神，孩子时常在“无痛呻吟”，凭着自己的意志来达到目的，担当自己不能承受的重担。求你怜悯我，正如你所说的：“凡劳苦担重担的人 可以到我这里来 我就使你们得安息。”[太11：28]

ICAC 異像

東門宣道會設立於 1978年, 而菲律賓社區教會也於1996年加入.其時, 主任牧師為 Bill Buitenwerf，助理牧師為 Mike Linnen。

自1998年起， 上帝在兩位牧師心中放置了一個新的異像。他們開始討論如何使用東門宣道會所擁有的510畝土地來影響渥太華社區並成就　神的國度。事實上, 從1996年的人口普查中，他們已注意到東門宣道會位於一個多元文化的社區中. 於是, 他們開始思考: 不同語言，不同民族的教會，或可在一些事工上攜手合作。而後，在　上帝的逐步帶領下，這個異像成為了事實。

在東門宣道會，上帝吸引了越來越多的人歸向祂，並為他們預備了外展及宣教的心。2001年，國際社區International Community的理念誕生了。該年6月10日，東門宣道會的會友大會取得了『邀請不同族裔教會加入東門宣道會的大家庭』的共識。

The International Community of Alliance Churches (ICAC)座落於首都渥太華。今日， ICAC包括了東門宣道會，菲律賓社區教會，Iglesia Hispana de Ottawa，阿拉伯宣道會，衣索比亞主恩堂，和最近加入的Alliance Chretienne Missionaire de la Capitale，這些.教會皆建立在這片為神所祝福的土地上 。

Church Building Project Q&A

問題一: 渥太華國語宣道會(以下用我們代表)擁有將來新堂建地的所有權嗎?
Q1. Will OMAC own the land the building is on?

A1. No, The title of the property including land is registered under the Eastern District.. Disposal of the building property in future will be an issue because OMAC does not own the land. Now the building is connected to EGAC via the lobby/foyer selling just the building part will be near impossible except to a church group. OMAC will be able to use the property as long as we continue our ministry there.

Q2. If EGAC no longer permit us to use the land, what do we do?

A3. ICAC stands for International Community of Alliance Churches (currently it has the Philippianal, the Arabic, the Spanish and with OMAC coming soon). All members retain their own identity and operate independently financially. Through formal agreements, sharing of resources will happen in ministry areas that are agreed upon and make sense in orderto maximize efficiency and effectiveness of God given resources. Ministry agreement and property agreement will be drafted to reflect this concept/model

問題四。 我們必須加入ICAC嗎？
Q4. Must we join ICAC?

A4. All indications to date and the board see that we will. This is voluntary. This has been communicated and actions taken to show that we are heading into that direction, If we need the congregation to vote formally , we will.

Q5. Are we going to merge with EGAC?

A5. No we are not “merging’ in spite the use of this word in EGAC Q&A. We are going to collaborate with EGAC to the maximum extend possible and the congregation has to be comfortable with the approach. Even collaboration requires faith and trust between EGAC and OMAC.

問題六: 加入ICAC對OMAC意味著什麼？
Q6 What are the implications for OMAC by joining the ICAC ?

A6. The implications are resources sharing with other members of the ICAC. We will become a member of a bigger family. Details will be work out through formal agreements.

Q7. What if we can no longer operate OMAC (financially unsustainable)for whatever reason after a few years from moving in?

A7. We need to set a threshold for our debt (i.e. mortgage sum) above which we will not build. The financial committee will work this out what this level is and recommend to the board for decision. We should aim for the lowest debt load for the worse scenario. Again we need commitment from the members and good leadership to ensure long term financial viability of OMAC after moving in. In short we need to stick together as a family and face the challenge together.

Q8. Why are we contributing to the sewage line cost and the foyer cost?

A8. We agree to cost share because we will be the benefactor. The estimated cost of a septic system to service OMAC alone will be between 75K and 90K. Chances are that the city will force EGAC to enlarge its current septic system. Future expansion will be problematic if not out right difficult and land use will be very restricted. We contribute to the Foyer expansion is because we will be using the space as much as EGAC at a small % of the total cost. We also wish to demonstrate that OMAC’s intend to partner with EGAC to realize the joint vision.—a community coming together to share their resources in advancing His kingdom in Ottawa and beyond. It is more blessed to give than to receive. We are not taking “ what is in it for us” approach but rather a more of a “Kingdom” view approach

Q9. Current design does not meet our need without using EGAC rooms. Do we have right to expand?

A9. The current design is cost constrained. However, we have secured the use of EGAC classrooms before 10:30 through the agreement and during the design discussion. Rooms can be added as funds become available in the future and expansion is built into the current design. The large foyer area can also be used prior to service time as classrooms (there are two curtained off rooms)

Q10. What will OMAC do if we reached a 250 attendance on Sunday?

A 10. We praise the Lord first and then plant another church. If is a none issue for now.

Q11. Why are we building at EGAC location?

A11. a. we subscribe the ICAC vision/construct; b. It is a good choice that will help OMAC to realize its 5 years vision & development goal; and c. Joining ICAC will also aid OMAC in achieving its vision and goals. Most importantly, the board senses it is God’s timing.

国语宣道会逾越节晚餐纪实

顾学斌弟兄

4月2日，星期五晚上，渥太华国语宣道会为了纪念主耶稣的受难，举办了一个别开生面的《逾越节晚餐会》，近70 位弟兄姐妹和新朋友参加了晚餐会。为了筹备这次晚餐会，许多弟兄姐妹花费了大量的业余时间，按 照犹太人的传统准备了正宗的犹太人庆祝逾越节吃的食物，无酵饼，葡萄汁，鸡蛋，欧芹（parsley），鱼饼，肉卷等。

晚餐会还特别请来了犹太人出身的基督教宣教士Karl desouza, 他讲解了犹太人过逾越节的意义，仪式及各种食物代表的意义。无酵饼代表主耶稣的身体为世人的罪而破碎，葡萄汁代表主耶稣为洗净我们的罪而流的血，蛋和绿色蔬菜代表主耶稣给我们带来了新的生命和希望…..他带领大家享用了犹太人传统的逾越节晚餐。

圣经教导我们：你们要纪念这日，守为耶和华的节，作为你们世世代代永远的定例。《出埃及记12：14》。我们纪念这日，为的是记住主的救恩，时时警醒自己，用主耶稣的宝血洗净我们的罪，作一个名副其实的基督徒。

The Passover seder is an ancient ceremonial meal which can be traced back to the Exodus from Egypt. The seder ceremony is an object lesson; the items on the table, many of the foods eaten, all help to tell the story of the departure from Egypt. But within the symbolism of the modern Passover seder and within the Passover story lies a message of a greater redemption, redemption for all mankind found in Jesus the Messiah.

What is ICAC?

What is ICAC?

ICAC stands for International Community of Alliance Churches (currently it has the English, the Filipino, the Arabic, the Spanish and the Mandarin (with OMAC coming soon). All members retain their own identity and are financially independent. Through formal agreements, sharing of resources will happen in ministry areas that are agreed upon and make sense in order to maximize the effectiveness of God given resources. Ministry agreement and property agreement will be drafted to reflect this concept/model.

Penny Driving Project

from letter sent to parents from the OMAC Fundraising Committee:

Each child is a blessing. We are very grateful for God's tremendous blessings to our church.

The children learn to love the Lord, God's word, the chuch and all people in our children's program. The little ones are dearly loved.

In our church fundraising project, we also would like to provide the opportunities for children to participate in the penny drive project.

Firstly, it is a way for children to practice offering as a gift to God. God appreciates each penny they give from their hearts.

Secondly, it is to show children they are contributing to our future new church building in a tangible way that can instil a strong sense of belongoing to the church.

Thirdly, children will learn what is consistent giving with a specific purpose.

We are promoting the penny drive project in the children's project. For parents who agree their child/children paritcipate in the project, they will take the church bank home by signing the constent form.

East Gate 宣道會近日添購新座椅, 並願將原有300張座椅送給我們將來新堂落成後使用。 教會需要大家幫忙, 在本周日 (1月31日) 下午2奌 到 East Gate宣道會將這些座椅搬到地下室的儲藏室, 謝謝您的協助。

East Gate Alliance Church has purchased new chairs recently. They will pass the current 300 chairs to us after we move into East Gate. We need your assistance to move these chairs to the storage room in East Gate basement this coming Sunday (Jan.31) at 2pm. Please come & help.

OMAC's first Sunday Service in 2010

OMAC joined the international churches service at East Gate Alliance Church on Jan 3, on the first Sunday of 2010.

Photo 1: The prime minister Harper attended the service too. He was invited to read the scriptures.

Photo 2: Our sister Wang Yi was baptized during the service. The baptismal service was performed by our pastor Chen, followed by the OMAC choir presentation "Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee".
